Acupuncture

Acupuncture has become increasingly popular over the past 10 years. While it has been used in China for over 3000 years, it only came into use in the Western world in the past 60-70 years.

It has been shown to stimulate the brain to produce pain relieving chemicals called endorphins. These also help to assist the healing process within the body. It works with the body naturally with no negative effects.

Acupuncture is a very safe and relatively painless intervention. The needles used here are Japanese (called Seirin) and are the best on the market. They are practically painless as the patient feels a tiny pin prick as the needle pierces the skin. All needles are one use only and are packed in a sterile unit.
